1 I'm off to become a great explorer, like William Robert Perry. I'll be heading into uncharted territory. Follow me on my journey of excitement and discovery!
2 What do we have here? Perhaps some indigenous animals?
3 Well, they don't seem to want anything to do with me!
4 Therefore, I'm off on my further explorations!
5 Now through this ice-encrusted canyon! Just look how high the walls are!
6 There are so many strange tracks on the snow.
7 And apparently, they end right here. Where did the beast go?
8 Oh well! Onward! Trudging through the deep icy snow shows my true grit as an explorer.
9 Now I know how Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton felt during the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration.
10 How perilous this journey is!
11 But, what does a great explorer do when they encounter adversity? They stand tall and shake it off!
12 There are poems and lore yet to be written about me. I must continue my journey of discovery! Onward!

Hello Ladies & G.K.,
And Happy Valentine's Day to all!! Such a kind brother you are to Francesca and Sharkey, let them stay inside while you weather the storm. You are certainly one of the all time great explorers of this decade. And such an appropriate end with poems to be written on this Valentine's Day. I am off to help Mom today as we are having a turkey dinner for Valentine's Day tonight. Have fun with all your sweethearts all!!!
Love & licks,

What an expedition you get to take by exploring such a magnificent farm GK. You look so happy getting to stretch and test your mettle against the unknown icy, snowy elements. I'm guessing your sisters Franny and Sharkey were indoors basking by a fire.
I like photo #12 the best. 'The Wandering Chow.' that's the working title for now. It definitely inspires a poem to go along with it.

Happy Valentine's Day Francesca, Sharkey & G.K. !!!
Does Martha have something special for you today? My mom made us heart shaped dog treats they were YUMMY!!
I've been feeling a little under the weather, Saturday I wouldn't eat my breakfast so of course mom was freaking out since that's so not like me. Not sure what's going on but mom has been feeding me ground beef with rice and I'm loving that, maybe I just caught a cold but she told me if I'm not back to myself in a day or two I'm going to see Dr. Keefe
Well I'm going to snuggle with Dad he's still in bed.

Hello ladies, Kirby here.
And hello to you too GK. I know what you are feeling when you explore. Seeing new things and places is so exciting. As a Chow Chow, I know that everything, and place, within your sight is your domain. We just like to roam and check out our domain to make sure that it’s kept safe and free of invaders. I just wish I had some of that deep snow to explore, or play, in; it’s getting warmer here. My winter fur will be coming out and you’ll find me all around the house. Mommy will have to run that "noisy machine" every day now throughout the entire house.
Catch you later, Kirby.

Sure did look like an adventure into uncharted territory...the danger that can befall in that deep snow, who knows what lurkes in those trees...wild indigenous creatures from afar...uhhhhh...a red coat of fur to keep you warm trudging through the walls of an ice-encrusted canyon, seeing foot prints of a strange beast...uhhhh...to have encountered adversity and survive this perilous journey, and then to just shake it off your Red fur coat? Amazing indeed!
Now that's what I call an explorer...Onward with your journey of discovery! Yes, stand tall G.K.!
Sorry I just had to *!*
you all have a wonderful Val-Day!
Zoe dear, Kitty and delia hope you feel better!

Hi Girl Friends &G.K., Hey handsome G.K., you certainly are a superior explorer, as well as being a cool Guy! I love seeing these photos over and over again even though they make me feel shivery! I can sure see why your little sisters didn't go with you-they wouldn't be able to trek through that deep snow at all. Even though it was snowy and cold, it sure looked like a beautiful day! Sure hope you and everyone else has a terrific Valentine's Day today! It's rainy and windy where I live, but yesterday, it was sunny and warm enough that my Mom and I went for an hour and a half long walk!! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+ PS-Hey Zoe, sure hope you are feeling better. My prayers are with all of you friends all the time! Love, DDR & Jan

Happy Belated Valentine's Day to you and your sisters G.K. You look like you are having a blast. This is your kind of weather. Just be careful on that ice.

G.K. at least shows up against the snow. My Samoyeds blend in that it is sometimes hard to find them. This is the first year in many that the snow levels got so high that the paths in the dog yard allowed the dogs to disappear from sight behind the accumulated snow. They were happy at first, but once it got really deep and since they are getting older, they also were happy to come inside and just flop on the kitchen floor and dream about the snow.
