Eliza's Treats
Posted by Francesca
As many of you know, Martha is a very charitable person, and recently, she donated a lunch with her and a tour of her offices for an auction event to help raise money for breast cancer. The winner of that prize was Eliza Gray, a lovely thirteen-year-old Martha fan. I think that Eliza is also a fan of ours because she brought a very special treat for Sharkey, G.K. and me that she, herself, made.
1 Eliza came with her mother, Moorea. That's Jean Graham sitting at the end - she is the
Director of Community Relations at MSLO and helped organize this event.
2 Christina deVries and
Liz Hopkins also joined Eliza and her mother for the trip.
3 The TV kitchen prepared a most delicious 4-cheese soufflé.
4 Eliza even brought homemade treats for us!
5 The treats were wrapped in beautiful personalized bags, decorated with our photos!
6 As you can see, Eliza's Peanut Butter & Honey Puppy Treats are made with only the finest natural ingredients.
7 Eliza appears to be a very enterprising young lady!
8 Martha brought the biscuits it to the farm. In this shot, G.K seems kind of curious. Let's see how this plays out - Sharkey is lurking.
9 Excuse me G.K. - drool - you don't need to worry about that spot on the floor - drool - I'll take care of cleaning it up.
10 Trust me, G.K. I know what a spot is when I see one.
11 That's right, G.K - You know how Martha likes her floors nice and spotless and I have so much experience with cleaning.
12 That's what this is - a yummy...oops - I mean crumby spot on the floor!
13 Good thing I've taken the initiative to eat - I mean clean this up before Martha gets home.
14 Poor G.K. is still so gullible!

What a great treat for Eliza and family but she turned the tables by bringing goodies for the three of you. 13 years old and she already knows that the way to Martha's heart is through her pets.
Poor GK but that's the life of the baby of the family. Wait until he finds out that you tricked him Sharkey.

So you swindled G.K. out of his treat, Sharkey? People are going to call you, "Porky Sharkey" pretty soon! Do you know how to "oink", Sharkey? C'mon, give us a demo, Miss Piggy!

Hello Ladies,
G.K. must learn not to hesitate on those spots. I am lightening when it comes to them. How fun for Eliza and her family. I hope she got to meet your Mama. What a treat for all. Cute sacks with your photos. Mom is all excited for the Martha Show today so we have the fire going and I am in my sweater ready for the show to begin in a bit. Pass on to your Mama that in addition to her great new show on baking she NEEDS a show devoted entirely to crafting. They always seem to cut those segments short. It is below zero and cold. Keep warm all. Rocky, your Mom needs some Chicken Soup to get better. We are keeping her in our prayers. Keep warm.
Love & licks,
Basil

Hello ladies, Kirby here.
You two, err three, seem to get lots of treats. Watch out or you’ll gain weight. It won’t show on GK, but it will show on Franny and Sharkey. Being a Chow, I’ll bet that GK was watching you just to make sure that you didn’t take his treat away from you. After you found out that you couldn’t take it, he just gave it up. I haven’t seen anyone take very much from a Chow Chow. When I am munching on my “milk bone” I often growl at Daddy when he gets too close to it. He knows that I am just playing with him and goes along with the growling but he doesn’t dare reach for it until I am standing. I have my limits you know. Nap time!
Catch you later, Kirby.

Hi Girl Friends &G.K., As usual your Martha is a wonderful person and extremely charitable! My Mom and I love Martha and the three of you! How lucky Eliza and her family were to be touring and eating at her offices. Eliza was generous again by making and giving the three of you such beautiful packages of dog treats that she made for you! G.K., I'm surprised that you let Sharkey 'clear away the spot on the floor'. I guess you are learning to be generous toward the girls. (Hey Rocky, sure hope your Mom is doing better. Our prays are with her, also. Love, Jan & DDR) Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

Hi girls, I'm so glad your mama is supporting such a good cause . Those treats look so good even better than pupcorn! Mom says Thank you all for the prayers they must be working because she is feeling a bit better. Dad was out on the roof yesterday, I told him santa already came but if he needs to come back thats fine by me, but dad said no more santa just snow and ice. Now we wait. Your friend rocky

G.K., I'm a Chow too and I know how you feel -- we like to examine our treats and give 'em The Big Sniffy before we dive in! But I guess you'll have to compromise your usual inspection routine with Sharkey around!

Thank you all so much for the kind comments!!! I truly hope Francesca, Sharkey, and GK liked the treats, I know my dog Rundle did. : )
By the way I don't usually look the way I did in the 4th picture.

And Martha, thank you for the great once in a lifetime opportunity to visit you and to tour the studio! It has inspired me to peruse what I love to do and know that I can really do it.

Great job with the treats Eliza! I always say "the best way to a human's heart is through their dog's stomach"!
I love your packaging and personalization - maybe a future career for you! It's hard work but fun and rewarding too.
