Yesterday, Franny kind of kept you hanging about what we, Frenchies, would find next on our little adventure around the farm after the blizzard. She ended the blog as we were headed towards the stable to visit our friends there. Let me just say that after a heavy snow, you just can’t be too careful and I’m really glad that we have pals looking out for us.
1 Franny, yesterday you said, 'One never knows what one will find around the next bend or burlapped boxwood!' Truer words could not have been spoken. It's the donks! What did you think of that blizzard?
2 Well Sharkey, the wind was certainly howling and we were rather scared. However, Betsy made certain that we were snug in our stall.
3 It took a little while before we were allowed to go outside because so much snow had drifted up against the paddock gates and they couldn't be opened.

'You've got friends in snow places
where the flakes are falling and the horses keep the coyotes away
You'll be OK
You tease the donks and you chase 'em around but they saved you from being snow bound
You've got friends in snow places!
Click those Frenchie paws and say, "there's no place like home, there's no place like home!"

Hello Ladies,
I am sure glad that you girls headed home. One can never be too sure about those coyotes. When I was at the doctor's last week for a check-up he said that Mom and Dad needed to keep a really good eye on me as the coyotes are very hungry now and are jumping fences to get their dinners. And the doc said I would be prime pickins' like you girls. I am very glad you have someone with you in these snowy times. Mama Martha sure does keep everyone safe and warm. Everyone looks happy. I expect the next DW to show the two of you warm in front of the fire. No cats allowed. Have a great day.
Love & licks,
Basil

Hello ladies, Kirby here.
My Daddy told me what a blizzard was. I’m sure glad that I wasn’t out in that snow storm. When you were talking to the “donks,” I could think of something to say about that. Daddy told me to be nice this year so I’m trying. I’ll just let it pass. One question; how do you two “high tail” it home. You don’t have a tail at all to hold high. I guess that GK and I are the only ones who can “high tail” it home. You do know just how high Chows can hold their tails don’t you? Yoo-hoo, hold that “flag” up and wave it GK.
Catch you later, Kirby.

Looks like you girls are having SO much fun in the snow! We had some too down here in VA, but it's gone now. So much fun to eat and burrow your nose in, isn't it? Try not to get buried, ok?! Wags from, --Chester
