Vivaldi is Delusional

Posted by F&S

I’ve been scrolling back over all of the blogs that Franny and I posted this past year and I have to admit that life is just never dull for us Frenchies.  So much happens around the farm and we also blog about our adventures away from home.  Once again, Franny and I would like to share some of our favorite postings with you.  And please to all of our loyal blog readers!!!!  Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

We Frenchies were away from the farm the other day, when Vivaldi, the cat, thought he could step into our world and start helping with the farm chores.  Verdi, the cat, was watching him the whole time in disbelief and was even taking photos, which he gave to us to post on the blog.

The crew must be taking a lunch break and the Frenchies aren't home. I think I'll just use this time and play around with all this stuff. I mean, why should Francesca and Sharkey have all the fun around here?

The guys have dug up all this sod - maybe I can help stack some more in this pickup. On second thought, it's heavy and dirty - that's not going to happen.

It looks like this trench needs to be a little deeper for those trees. I'll get right on it.

Why should Francesca and Sharkey always be the ones to operate the heavy machinery? Why, I'll just fire up the engine!

I'll just move the backhoe manually - or is that catually?

Well, that didn't work, either.

I'll just stretch out over here and watch the rest of the job in between cat winks.

Vivaldi, what were you thinking? You are definitely one foolish cat.

When will you learn to leave the dirty work to Francesca and Sharkey?

Look out the furballs are taking over!! First G.K. now V & V what's up??? Where were the two of you when all this work was going on? I'm surprised they managed without your supervision.

My mom always wanted to try and operate a backhoe and last October she had her chance. Her son-in-law
has a business out in Hood River and he owns 2 and it happened that one was at thier property out on the orchard. Well mom got to scratch the backhoe off her bucket list. She climbed on top and started to work it. She said it was scary because the machine was so big. I wish I could have tried I was home with Super Nanny. Speaking of Super Nanny she'll be back in 33 days, I have the days counted. Mom is going to Italy for her 50th Birthday to cook. I think I should be able to go and try out what she makes.

It's Friday :) From what I hear mom will be home all weekend can't wait. I hope we bake cookies because I love to sit on the stool and watch.

    Have a nice weekend everyone!!

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
As you can see I was right, we did take a trip. I saw lots of cows and horses along the way. There were a few chickens too. Sort of like being on a farm myself. I took long walks around the park with my mommy and daddy. There were plenty of ducks and geese there. Everyone wanted to “pet” me a little. I just love little girls; wish I had one of them. Mommy and daddy said that they had a little girl one time but now she is all grown up. It was a long trip back yesterday. Daddy had to change one tire on the trailer. He said that a “valve stem” had broken; whatever that is. All in all I had a wonderful trip; but it’s good to be back home.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hey, F&S and GK too. Don't you know that Vivaldi and Verdi are VERY experienced with gardening chores? My Mom tells me that she remembers seeing both of them on TV in Martha's garden at Turkey Hill.
Just tell Vivaldi not too use the dirt for a litter box!

  • Hello Ladies,
Too much fur, too little work. Looks like the fur is flying around the farm. While the dogs are away the cats will play, heh!! Even though the fur balls aren't as helpful and smart as the Frenchies, you guys have to give them credit for trying. After being outside around so much dirt, it looks like Vivaldi will have to have a bath and brushing, ha ha. That will teach him to invade the Frenchie territory. It is supposed to start raining today and not stop till Sunday night. We will see. Have a great weekend all.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Hi Martha's furry pets,
What a cute blog this was! Luved the 'catually', some things just tickle my funny bone! Me thinks Vivaldi might be due for a bath he wasn't counting on! Serves him right for getting in the grime. I advise leaving the big jobs for the more capable little girls, meaning F & S of course. Great pictures Verdi!

  • Looks like Martha's farm has turned into Furville. Get it? Farmville - Furville. No? Alright moving on.

Well at least Vivaldi was trying. I expected him to be too important to dirty his paws like that. When did Verdi become such a photographer? You two better watch out, they may be up to something like a cat de tat.

Where were the two of you by the way? Where was GK?

Good to see you back Kirby Bear. I was wondering where you were. Everyone have a lovely fun weekend.

  • well as you know I'm a Gato fan, seeing my name is Kitty...and especially Vivaldi and Verdi, they are so puuurrrdi.
Ah Francesca and Sharkey you'll get over it, be happy you had some help! just the fact those Gato's got their fanzi-schmanzi furry paws in and helped, is good thing.

  • hi Martha: I recently adopted a cockatoo from a bird rescue home. The bird is missing a few feathers but makes up for it personality. I am introducing new foods slowly. Very fine place.
the name of the facility is Roseberry bird rescue. She has numerous birds that people have abandon, or dropped off at her home.

  • Hi Vivaldi and Verdi, So nice to see you two doing a blog. I think you are beautiful cats and I love you dearly. Vivaldi, you sure did a great job trying to help with the planting by trying to work the big machines. I'm sure it was hard work and I can see why you needed to take a rest by the apple trees. Verdi, you are a great photographer. Maybe the two of you will be able to do another blog soon. I sure hope so. I love all of you animals there at Martha's farm. Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hi Girl Friends & G.K., I truly love seeing ALL of your delightful blog posts and seeing them a 2nd time is even more fun! The three of you certainly do fascinating projects at the farm and elsewhere. It's also fun to see what any of your kitty friends are up to. Vivaldi and Verdi sure did do a great job working on and photographing the apple tree project. Thanks for resharing this! Have a great, warmer day! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+
