G.K. Plays Rough

Posted by F&S

The last time we went to Martha’s house in East Hampton, we had the pleasure of seeing Dodi.  Dodi is a golden retriever who belongs to Alex, the gardener, and he’s a really fun and nice dog to play with.  G.K. wanted to assert his dominance and got a little rough.  He’s still young and needs to learn about self-control.

Hey there, Dodi. Do you feel like playing with a chow chow? It's hard for me to have a good scrimmage with the Frenchies because they're smaller then I am.

Dodi, are you up to playing a little rough?

Alex, promise me that if things go too far, you'll pull them apart. They both seem so serious and we wouldn't want anything bad to happen.

Hey G.K! Chill out already! We're just playing, remember?

Sorry Dodi! I guess I just get a little carried away sometimes. I still have a lot to learn.

  • Why GK, what big ferocious teeth you have! I don't think Dodi was expecting that. It's so easy to forget you are still a puppy boy not even one year old yet. Sharkey, you need a cute little referee shirt for your efforts there. Franny I love how you stayed out of things and appealed to Alex to break 'em up if things got to hot 'n' heavy.

Great action photography in this blog especially picture # 8. Good thing Dodi was a good sport about it. Have a fun weekend everyone!

Please don't tell me you can't kick GK's butt I put these Labs in their place all the time. You have to go for the throat, right under the neck is where I aim. I never back off from a good rumble. Just the other night mom and I were snuggled up she was giving me lots of kisses and she pointed out to Dad I had a few scabs from the big guys. All in good fun ;)

So GK you are lucky old Dodi didn't kick your ass. You might think you are scary with that black tongue and all but I'd bet my dog biscuts you would be leaving with your tail between your legs.

Stories like this make me just want to go and jump on T-Bone's head and start playing. I tell ya there is nothing like a good chase and roll through the back yard. Mom says I run like a bat out of hell, whatever that means. They can't catch me and I bite them from underneath so much fun :)

Friday finally arrived, what a long week. Mom said she'll be home most of the weekend but is going to the Eagles - Giants game Sunday night. Speaking of kicking some ass those Giants will be driving up the turnpike with their tails between their legs :)

Have a great weekend everyone - be safe :)

  • Look at how big you are getting G.K. Wow!!! You look great. I am glad you had a good time playing with Dodi.

  • Hello Ladies & G.K.,
This little rumble looked like it had the possibility to get out of control. Glad you girls were there to supervise with Alex. G.K. better learn to behave or he will give Chow Chows a bad name. As for me, I have gotten the nickname of Guido because I am also looking to rumble. I don't pick very safe partners according to the family--like strangers walking their dogs on a leash. I would have gotten my ass kicked many a time if it hadn't been for Tasha. I even have a battle scare on an ear. Be safe.

    Have a great weekend all.

  • Hi girls, GK had a good fight going on .I would have loved to join in. My boys and I are rumbling on a daily basis now with Pebbles in heat! My ear is abit swollen but fun is fun.Only problem is that Dopey won the girl But I won the fight!!!!Your Friend Rocky

  • Oh G.K. your youthful exuberance came out! You just wanted to play, right?...I think you were excited to see someone closer to your size...I mean after all the Frenchies can get stepped on very easily...but don't take size as not being strong, Frenchies are known to be powerful and fierce if they want to be.

Cute pictures...you all have a great weekend!!!

    we are expecting snow...yuck!

  • Hi Girl Friends &G.K., My goodness G.K., you certainly are getting bigger and more active. How nice you got to meet Dodi and have a fun time playing with him. The girls seemed a little worried that you might get hurt because Dodi is so big. You did a nice job of just playing and not getting real aggressive. Nice to see that you are a good boy. Love the photos of all of you beautiful dogs! Have another great weekend, everyone. Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Oh brings back memories for this chow chow but I am nearly 15 now and can't rumble like I used to. GK you are such a beauty and so youthful good thing Dodi was keeping you under control lol!

All four of you look fantastic ,you have such an adventurous life.

    Happy weekend.
