Autumn in Acadia National Park

Posted by Francesca

When we were in Maine last week, it was the peak of the leaf season. The view from the terrace of Skylands was so amazing, but I really wanted to go for a drive in Acadia National Park to see more splendors. Here’s what we encountered.

That's such a lovely view of Seal Harbor, but I want to see more. I think we should all go for a drive.

Ah, yes! The colors are gorgeous this time of year. How's everyone doing in the back?

G.K. - You seem to be soaking up all the attention. I see that you're in very good hands. Don't be too distracting, though. We're supposed to be looking at the sights.

See that magnificent cliff, for example?

And all of those boats still in the water - They won't be out there too much longer.

Here's one of many stately stone bridges in Acadia. They're very impressive.

I think we should stay on the Park Loop Road if you want to see more water.

  • So does this mean that Sharkey didn't make this trip either? Really need an update on how her paw is doing. Franny, your back legs looked awfully close to the edge and it was wet too! GK looks cute lounging in Kevin's arms soaking up the attention.

Looks like a very pretty trip.

I hope everyone out in the Daily Wag Land is feeling better.

  • Good Morning Girls

Franny just love the red jacket you look "Fab"

So how is Sharkey's paw??? Does anyone at the Daily Wag read our posts? If you did you would know we are concerned about our girlfriend!!! For all we know she could be laid up in the hospital somewhere with her paw in a cast.

I just love the fall colors, those pictures from Maine are just beautiful.

Well the turkeys were back again yesterday. I have to tell you that is one ugly looking bird. They were all over our lawn again. I wish mom would just let us all loose we'd get rid of those nasty things.

Sharkey if you are reading this please let us know how you are doing :)

  • Hello Ladies,
I love to see Maine and all the beautiful scenery, but all I saw was G.K. and Franny. Can you hear me now, can you hear me now--is anyone there to tell us how our friend Sharkey is feeling? What is going on. I stayed up late to see Martha on The Tonight Show and was hoping she might give us some word on our Sharkey friend, but noooo, only Halloween stuff. Let us know soon how our friend is doing. We worry. My MRI is set up for a week from tomorrow--oh joy!! Yuk!!! We will at least know what is causing my troubles. Have a great day all!!!
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date. Why it’s with you. Daddy had to go see his Doctor this morning so I am late reading about my best friends. He only got two shots; one in each arm. It’s that time of the year when people get sick. As for me, I get my shot in the spring time from my Doctor. I’ve been to several National parks but haven’t been to Acadia National Park yet. Maybe some day I’ll get to go. What fun we four will have roaming the park. Until then, keep the green side up. I hear that all the time but don’t know what it means. Any suggestions?
    Catch you later, Kirby.
