Autumn in Acadia National Park
Posted by Francesca
When we were in Maine last week, it was the peak of the leaf season. The view from the terrace of Skylands was so amazing, but I really wanted to go for a drive in Acadia National Park to see more splendors. Here’s what we encountered.
Wow! The view from up here on the wall is simply breath-taking!
That's such a lovely view of Seal Harbor, but I want to see more. I think we should all go for a drive.
Ah, yes! The colors are gorgeous this time of year. How's everyone doing in the back?
G.K. - You seem to be soaking up all the attention. I see that you're in very good hands. Don't be too distracting, though. We're supposed to be looking at the sights.
See that magnificent cliff, for example?
And look at that splendid sun going down.
That sand beach is beautiful.
And all of those boats still in the water - They won't be out there too much longer.
Here's one of many stately stone bridges in Acadia. They're very impressive.
I think we should stay on the Park Loop Road if you want to see more water.
Another impressive view
Those colors are dazzling against the gray sky.
And another gorgeous sunset.
How sensational! I'm so glad we went for this ride.
