G.K. Wants to Work on Martha's Farm

Posted by Ghenghis Khan

It's so exciting living on a farm.  There is so much to see and do.  Why, just the other day, I got to drive the big John Deere tractor and tend to the vegetable garden.  Come and see!

I'm fairly certain that I heard Martha tell me that I should tend to the vegetable garden.

However, the blazing sun is so hot on my furry head!

I'll just borrow this hat from the greenhouse. I could really go for some cool and juicy watermelon right about now.

Hey, who turned the lights off? Better find a different hat.

I know this hat belongs to Shaun, but he's not wearing it today. He and I must have the same size head. I hope he won't mind if I borrow it for a spell.

OK - Fire up the engine and off to the vegetable garden.

I have arrived! Oh, and did you know that way back when, John Deere was a blacksmith who started making plows and that today, John Deere is one of the largest agricultural and construction equipment manufacturers in the world?

Now, what exactly does tend to the vegetable garden mean, anyhow?

  • Well, don't you look cute driving that big tractor.
I am sure Shaun won't mind you wearing his hat, especially if you are helping him with the chores.

  • Good Morning G.K.

First of all why are you outside in the heat with all that fur you have to be so uncomfortable. For God's sake boy stay indoors!

As for tending to the garden I suggest you take a few lessons from F & S. They've been working the farm for many years now and can give you a few pointers on gardening. However, if I were you I'd tend to the horses and donkeys and let the girls do the gardening. This way you won't get all kinds of dirt and bugs in that massive fro you wear. Have you ever thought of getting a summer cut - take it down a few inches?

    Stay cool my friend :)

  • Hello G.K. & Ladies,
G.K. you look very hot, but very lucky Shaun will loan you his hat. You are sure learning the ropes quickly. But you need to turn to Franny and Sharkey to teach you about tending the garden. They are the experts. I have seen those water scarves you put in the freezer for a bit and the gel gets cool--that is what you need around your furry neck. Stay cool everyone.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
And, as they say in the south, hay to you too GK. Wow, you get to drive the tractor? I have always wanted to drive daddy’s truck, but he won’t let me. Says that I’m not old enough to drive the truck. Maybe some day I’ll be old enough. Watch the hat GK; it’s pulling your ears down and you may look like me with my ears still bent over at the tips. Makes me look like a giant puppy. It’s not really that bad, people think I’m cute this way. I don’t want to be a “show” anyway. It’s hot down here too. This will be the fourth day it will be over 100. Setting records here. Oh, what will it be like in August?
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • G.K. you look adorable in Shaun hat!

so let's see if this comment will be posted...I am beyond patience with this problem...geeze...

  • "Breaker breaker 1-9 this is Big Doggie GK cruising on a John Deere tractor come back"

Does the tractor have a horn you got to blow? You look way too cute but you look like you need a summer cut to stay nice and cool. Hope you took your sisters on a ride around the farm too.

Catch you on the flip side Big Doggie GK I'm out!

  • Hi GK: Shaun's hat looks just like the one my daddy wears when he takes me for my walks. Keeps the bad sun rays off of his head. Better make sure you have plenty of cold water to drink when you are working in all that heat. Tending a garden is very hard work. It is close to 100 today and will be like that all the rest of the week.

WAAAAAAAAAAAH.....I have to go to the vet in a few minutes to get my annual checkup and my shots and the stuff for up my nose. Momma got off work early just to take me to the doctor. She is too cool!

I better go know, momma said it is time to get in the car and go for a ride. I love to ride in the car. So, take care. Everyone drink plenty of cold water. See ya later. Love, Gracyn.

  • Hi G.K., You should hear my Mom-she is oohing and aahing and laughing about all of these photos of you there on Martha's farm! She thinks you look so darn cute! I have to agree with her! You are one smart, handsome fellow who loves to do all he can to help Shaun. I'll bet it was fun driving the big tractor and I'm sure Shaun will help you learn how to tend to the vegetable garden. Can't wait to see what you will do next! Love, Dudley Do Right XODOXO+

  • Those are some of the cutest pics we have seen!

  • Wow GK, you are so handsome and getting so big now. I like your choice of hats and you look the total Doggie farmer I must say.
Happy summer to you, Sharkey & Franny.
