Maintaining a Stone Wall
Posted by Sharkey
The weather was so beautiful yesterday and a lot of our household clan wandered outdoors to enjoy the sunshine. It seems that the wall around Martha’s patio is a favorite spot to congregate and like Martha, I want to be sure that the wall will be around for many, many years.
1 I love sitting on this stone wall - it's a great vantage point!
2 Perched up here, one can see all the activity going on at the farm.
3 It also allows me to strut my stuff! After all, I am the descendant of the most noble of chows.
4 Oh, G.K. I should be the only one allowed on this wall, I am kin to the great Himalayan cats!
5 I, too, love this stone wall. It's a great place to show off my superb Frenchie qualities.
6 Francesca, don't you want to help me preserve this wall? Martha always says, that if we see loose stones...
7 We should pick them up and...
8 Fill in any empty spaces in the wall. The stones won't collapse if there are no empty spaces between them.
9 Sharkey, do you really think that one little stone here or there will make a difference?
10 Lazy, arrogant animals! They won't have a nice stone wall to perch on if they don't pitch in on the minor details of maintenance!
11 Hey sister! Don't look at me for any help!! I'm outta here!
