Betsy Got a New Computer!

Posted by F&S

Betsy's new computer arrived for her stable office and we, Frenchies, wanted to deliver it and help her set it up, seeing that we're computer savvy and all.  New computers are so exciting and this one is especially so.  We also heard that Martha got a brand new iPad and now we're wondering when ours will arrive.  With technology, you always need to be one step ahead of the game.

Franny, now we just have to get this box into Betsy's office. I'll try lifting and you do the pushing. Man! This is heavy! Betsy, just in time! Can you lend a hand?

Sharkey, I'll get busy and backup her files from her old computer before we put it away.

Betsy, will you show me how it works?

Oh really? It operates using a 'touch sensor' overlayed with the screen? Oh, and you need a 'controller card' and some software. That was a very clear explanation. Thanks Betsy!

But, I like using a mouse and you can also operate it that way, right?

  • I have an HP Touchsmart laptop and I love it!

  • F & S what would they do without you at the farm???
You groom horses, tend to the chickens, keep G.K. in line and now do computer work - just amazing.

I have a plumbing job to surpervise today. The plumber is suppose to arrive around 9 so I need to eat and get my butt outside. Mom was not happy with dad over the weekend. She crawled under the house to turn on the outside faucets and the pipe broke. This is the first time she attempted this task (my mom likes to know how to do everything) and boy did she have a fit. Said all the pipes under there need to be replaced and insulated and the turn off needs to be in a location that you don't have to crawl to get to it. Since she has to go to work she is leaving me in charge so dad gets the job done properly.

It's a tough job but I'm sure I can handle it.

  • Hello Ladies,
You two never stop amazing me. You are soooooo smart and do so many things. I guess that goes with the territory when you have a farm. Those computers look very state of the art.As for me I just rested from all the Easter company yesterday. Got up a few times to go outside and then right back to sleep. I hope I can help Mom out a little more today. She got Martha's new Fabric book yesterday and loves it. She showed me the photos of the two of you in it. You both look soooo beautiful. I especially like the one of you both in your coats. She is going to make me one over the summer for next winter. Have a good Tuesday everyone. I am now one week without meds and doing very well with my back, as long as I don't jump. I know you all helped cure me with keeping your paws crossed and your prayers. Thanks!!!!
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • I agree with Zoe, the farm would fall apart without your helpfulness and guidance. You must tell us all how Betsy enjoys her new computer.

Are you two passing along your technology knowledge to your not-so-little-anymore brother GK? Of course I'm sure he'll want his own tech toys soon too.

Basil, it's great news to hear that you are doing well. Just keep being a big boy and no jumping.

  • hey guys Tallulah here boy are you two lucky dogs to live on such a beautiful farm with so many people spoling you to death. just how many people work on that farm ? seems to me your mamma has a person for every little chore that needs to be done I would like to apply for a "guard dog" position okay i'm a maltese but i can surely guard the chicken coop!!

  • Hi Girl Friends & GK, This sure is a cool blog about Betsy's new computer and how well you two were able to help her get it working. I'm sure you learn all of your techniques by watching all of the things that go on at Martha's fantastic farm. It isn't just about growing things, but also about everything else that goes on. You two are very, very smart and helpful. The more I read the more I love you. Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+
