A Romp Around the Farm

Posted by F&S

We, Frenchies, have noticed that when Martha posts a blog about the farm, she gets a lot of really nice comments.  So, we decided to try that out on our blog.  We took a little romp around the farm to show you how things look from our perspective.  Please enjoy and let us know what you think!

It's nice to romp through this tall grass on such a fine afternoon - so lush!

Just look at this vibrant muscari border near the pergola.

Remember when you cleaned it with Fernando, Sharkey? It looks beautiful - you did a great job!

The allee of linden is really looking stunning.

The Japanese maples that were planted last fall seem to have made it just fine through the winter - very hardy and very gorgeous!

The lilac shrubs! So many different colors! Kevin - my namesake - picked big bouquets the other day for Alexis's apartment, but there are still plenty for us to smell and enjoy.

Not to worry Francesca, we've come upon a gurgling brook! Drink up!

The weeping willows grow so fast! I remember when they were just little twigs in the ground.

  • Good Morning F & S
Thank you for the tour of your farm everything is just so perfect. Don't you just love to roll in the fresh green grass? It feels and smells so good I just love it.

Well we had breakfast again today at 5 a.m.!! Mom is leaving me again to play in some golf tournament, this is really getting out of control. I have to sit her down later and have a good talk with her, I need my beauty sleep and I prefer to eat around 6. The birds aren't even chirping yet and I'm eating. The Labs won't wait they see mom is up that means food.

Thank God it's Friday :) And this weekend the pool will be heated, the kids will be coming over to swim and I'll have lots of people to play with I can't wait. That little 3 year old Nicole comes over and and I just follow her all over and wait for something to drop. She loves those cheese curls which happen to be my favorite also..

Well have a nice weekend everyone enjoy with warm weather!!

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Well the weekend is almost here. It should be a good one for most of us around the country. The smell of the fresh new grass, the pollen is almost all gone, the lovely flowers adorning the houses, and walking with mommy and daddy; what more could any dog ask for? Well, what about breakfast? I see you two really do like the grass almost as much as I do. Your tour was wonderful; wish I lived on a farm too. I’ll bet GK loves the grass too. Well it’s time to start my busy day; but first a short nap.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Beautiful and fun, as usual!! :)

  • What can I say...Lovely indeed...lucky, lucky Francesca and Sharkey. Oh, and G.K. and the Feline group..

  • Hi Sweeties,
Thanks for the gorgeous views and don't get lost in that tall grass! You're just little squirts you know! The boxwood is fabulous on the stable road. Wow, such beauty!

  • Hello Ladies,

Strawberry is my favorite. It is going to be a great weekend for me as Dad is going fishing and Mom and Tasha and I get to watch the Derby. What fun, what food!!!!

    Basil

  • Hey guys Tallulah here I hope that Martha shares this georgeous farm with lots of people not just you three lucky dogs and spoiled cats yes I said spoiled (I'm not too fond of cats) but I'm working on it! anyway seems to me there is an awful lot of work to do to keep it looking sooo perfect with not a crooked tree or shrub in sight!!thanks for the tour and keep out of trouble.

  • Oh what fun it must be to have such a beautiful farm to roam and play on! Your hard work has definitely paid off, the farm looks stunning.

Was GK at the groomer's while you two were running around? Psst, letting the little tyke go crazy running around the farm will burn off all that excess puppy energy he has and give the two of you a rest. Just sayin'

I hope everyone has a beautiful, fun weekend!

  • Aw, what a delightful tour of the yards.

  • I love the shot of you two running down the linden allee.

  • Hi Girl Friends, I absolutely love when you show and tell us about anything you both do there on the farm. My Mom and I love to read both Martha's blog and yours everyday. Both blogs are really super! Don't tell anyone, but I love your blog the most! I love everything that you share with us and since you are my girl friends, I adore everything about you! I love G.K. and Martha and all of your friends there at the farm, but I am really smitten about you two!! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • I love your blog! It pops up on my Google Reader and I always love to see what you are up to, both on the farm and off. Thank you for your blog. Please keep it coming.

  • What an idyllic place! I love all of the vegetation - japanese maple, lilac, and weeping willows are some of my favorites. F&S, you have a wonderful place to play.
