Who Scratched the Floor?

Posted by Francesca

Martha's housekeepers work hard to keep the house looking beautiful.  Let me tell you that with so many pets, their jobs can't be easy.  Just the other day, I found Maria working on a section of the wood floor.  There were so many scratches and I just couldn't understand what, or who, made them until someone fessed up.

Maria, what are you doing on your knees?

Oh, I see - you are covering all of these scratches on the floor with a special 'scratch cover.'

Who scratched the floor like this, Maria? Don't tell me it's the cats with their sharp claws!

Just watch yourself, Franny! Don't accuse me of such things!

You might remember that I, Vivaldi, don't have any claws.

Wow, what's all the discussion going on here?

Why are you even bothering to cover up the scratches, Maria?

Don't you know that my little claws will just scratch the floor again?

  • Oh boy! You guys better hide out, Mama Martha is back from her adventures and she will be looking for the culprit! I wouldn't want her coming after me, I'd find a good hide out.

    Happy Woof Wednesday gang.

Leave it to those hairballs to scratch the floor. Why do they need claws to begin with it's not like they are out hunting or need to defend themselves. I'd get those suckers declawed ASAP. What happens if one decides to attack you and scratches your beautiful eyes - then what??

Well we finally got to watch the Martha Show last night (mom records it) after 2 weeks of olympics. If I see another figure skater it will be too soon. And can someone tell me how ice dancing is a sport?? Why doesn't Arthur Murray have an olympics then they can all go there and dance. I was so happy Kevin was on the show he is such a cutie. I snuggled next to mom and we watched the show.

Mom went to an Asian cooking class last night, I have a feeling this weekend will be all Asian meals dad is going to be so thrilled - NOT.....

Have a nice day and try and keep your kitties under control :)

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
You have to be real careful around those cats with those sharp claws. Scratching the floor is one thing but scratching you is another. If anything gets scratched around here, I have to fess up; I’m the only pet in the house. As you can see, being the only one has it’s disadvantages. I was watching The Martha Show yesterday and when those big cats came on with all that noise, I had to leave the room. It wasn’t that I was afraid of them; I was not going to waste my time watching some big cat strut around. Had a little snow fall yesterday but it melted as soon as it hit the ground; heck.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hey sweet Francesca don't blame those hairballs! I think you might be brainwashed...never heard of a Gato scratching the floor like that, just maybe they played with something and the claws grabbed the toy...what soft floors..mommie delia lets me run like a race car taking off, with hind legs scrambling to catch up and all the while making a noise like squealing tires...everyone says it's so funny, and I don't scratch the floor! BUT then maybe it's our laminate flooring...
sorry folks someone has to defend those hairballs...and that would be me...meeuw Kitty

  • Hello Ladies,
Get those claws off the hairball as soon as possible, clean up the floor, and then cover it quick with a rug so Mama Martha doesn't see where it happened, and then no more. Don't those cats have something special for their scratching? We Frenchies are such good little angels. Never a complaint. Have a great day all.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Hi Girl Friends, You sure have been busy helping take care of Martha's lovely home at the farm MS. Francesca. Do you really think the calico kitty did that scratching on the wood floor?! It might have been somebody with small rocks in their shoe soles. Well, maybe you are right, because people have to wear sox when being in Martha's homes. Hope you are having better weather soon. Take care. Love Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+
