What Hides Beneath all of G.K.'s Fur

Posted by Sharkey

Yesterday we, Frenchies, were sleeping peacefully, when we were awaked by the sound of running water.  We looked over to the sink only to see a strange and skinny little animal being bathed.  On closer inspection, we discovered that it was a dog, but we couldn't imagine why another new dog would be in our home.  We were very surprised when we suddenly realized that it was G.K. - a very unfluffy G.K.

What's this? Another new dog in our house? Just when we were getting used to fluffy G.K.

Don't know why this animal is getting washed off - probably got muddy outside. Looks kind of skinny.

Look at it trying to escape just like we do.

OK - now for the dry off.

WAIT A MINUTE!! That worried thing looks like G.K! Who would have known that beneath all that fluff, he's just a skinny little puppy? He had us fooled!

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
The other day daddy told me that I was beginning to smell like a dog. I knew what that meant; bath day was coming. That day was yesterday for me as well GK. Ladies, don’t let the appearance of being a “skinny” little dog fool you. Under all that fur is a small body made from pure muscle; no fat anywhere. Hang in there GK, fighting a bath only makes it worse. You can trust me on this. You’ll dry out quickly and regain your fluff and be a really “big” dog again.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Oh NO not the dreaded bath. G.K. I feel your pain - getting a bath is just pure hell I hate it.

F & S does this mean your next on the bathing list? HIDE my friends HIDE!!!

One thing I can say for us Frenchies is that we don't take long to dry and we don't have hair issues. I can't imagine having to get that mop combed and blown out - torture if you ask me.

I just finished a very tasty breakfast, ground lamb with white rice and a little bowl of warm chicken stock. Then I get a little ball of liverwurst with my pills - my mom sure does take good care of me. Feeling better today and I only cough if I run around too much.

I'm starting to see the grass at our house, the snow is finally melting. I can't wait to go roll in the yard and feel the warm sun on my body and smell the spring flowers. Do you hear me Mother Nature - no more snow!!!

  • Hi Little GK: You're getting a bath! HAHAHAHAHAHA. You sure got skinny, but your fluffy appearance will soon return when they dry you off.

Momma is going to make an appointment for me at the PetSmart grooming department. I'll get the special beauty spa treatment along with my nail trim and maybe a special spritz of fragrance. The ladies there make such a fuss over me. It is just great. GK, don't you just love it when the ladies talk to you and pet you and say wonderful stuff? I just love it.

Well, it is time for a snack and an early morning nap. Still very cold here so I'll get in my wonderful new floor bed and sleep. Take care. See ya later. Love, Gracyn.

  • Hello Ladies & G.K.,
G.K. does look a bit different without all that fluff. Now, we Frenchies just look wet. We don't have to worry much about dry time. It goes quick. Can't imagine poor G.K. going under the dryer for a long time. But it is a bit relaxing. Going to help Mom plant some seeds in our greenhouse today for those yummy fresh veggies this summer. Hopefully there won't be another bad hail storm to destroy the garden this summer. I didn't get any dill pickles, and those are really yummy. We had fun getting back into our routine of watching Martha yesterday now that the Olympics are over. Have a great day all.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • ahhhhhh there really is a fluffy puppy under that enormous fur ball...this is part of MS living, right? clean clean clean...

  • Quis lies in umbra of GK pro? Oops! Sorry too much watching LOST here. Hate to break it to you GK but the wet look is sooo 1980's.

GK does look adorable all wet but now the real fun begins - drying and brushing all that fur.

  • Hi Girl Friends, So glad to see that Sharkey is feeling better and I can tell because she did this blog! Now I don't have to worry quite so much. It's fun to see that you girls are learning something new everyday about handsome little brother, GK. When you two or I take a bath, we don't look much different when we get wet, but fluffy little GK sure does look a lot different. If anyone ever cut off most of his fur, we probably wouldn't even recognize him. Hope it gets warmer in your area soon. Stay well. Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO+

  • Hey GK you are a wet dog!
I love my baths and my groomer Lynn she makes the day fun for me. I get to eat lunch with her and meet all the other doggies so much fun.

    Love Mrs. Bosley Chow Chow

  • Hi Sweeties,
Just want to tell GK he looks just as handsome wet as he does with his fur fluffed up. Kisses to all of you!
