A good job for us

Posted by Sharkey

The other day, a very large crate was delivered to the farm.  Franny and I were looking for something to do when we spotted Gyurme outside.  We were so happy that he had a job for us and we especially loved that it required tools.  We, Frenchies, are very crafty, after all.

Franny, let's go and see Gyurme over there.

Hi Gyurme, do you have any jobs for us today? You need help with a big crate that arrived? Let's go, Franny!

I'll pull this side.

It's addressed to Martha.

Sharkey, how should we go about opening it?

If you grab those snips, you can cut through the metal straps.

Squeeze them together hard!

Next, I'll grab the hammer.

And this prying tool

The sign says 'FRAGILE' so we better be careful.

Just a gentle tap tap all the way around

Now, watch out for those nails and lift off the top.

Now that all the hard work is done, we'll let Martha unwrap the rest. Even though we're curious what is inside, it was, after all, addressed to her.

  • Good Morning F & S
I can't wait to see what was in the box. Wouldn't it be nice if that were a big dog treat :)

Well I wish someone would tell Mother Nature to turn the snow off. We got 28 inches of snow and I don't like it one bit. The snow flakes were so big that I couldn't see, my next visit to the pet store I'm getting myself a pair of goggles. Oh and get this we are expecting more snow Wednesday - enough already. My mom smells like BenGay - I think she used an entire tube on her right arm. She blames me because she has to shovel walkways out back so I can go do my business. We can't use the snow blower back there so a shovel it is :( The big dogs have no problem with the snow but it was way over my head.

I'm a little confused this morning, mom has been up for hours and we still haven't been fed. I think it has something to do with Sophie, she can't have any food due to her doctor visit this morning. I can't wait until dad takes her so I can eat - I'm hungry! We're not sure if her surgery is going to be today or not dad will find out when he gets there.

I'm glad to hear Martha's horse was ok, we don't need any more bad news.

    Well stay warm!

    Zoe

  • HEY you two pups, you are teasing us! all that and not unveiling the contents? that's not fair...maybe a statue for the garden??? It's nice of you to help Gyurme, I love seeing you Sharkey and Franny doing fun things, especially dressed in your wonderful little coats...so smart looking...do they make coats for cats? not that I need one, I do have an amazing silky thick fur coat on? this morning it's so cold that there are crystals in the air glistering in the sun beams streaking through the woods...and I hear the snow is coming!
Good to see my Frenchie canine friends again...also a breeeuw and meeuw to G.K. from Kitty

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
When I first saw that big crate I thought that GK had it shipped in so he could ship someone we know out in it. Now hold on ladies, that was just a joke. I’m sure he does really like you. I mean, after all you do take care of him and try to teach him the “ropes” around there. In this “dog eat dog” world we have to watch out for each other. It didn’t snow down here but I do wish I were up there in that snow; I love the stuff. I think you have had enough to last the rest of the winter so maybe the “snow machine” can be turned of now.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi Girl Friends, You two sure did a great job opening that package for Martha. You two are always so good about helping her out with whatever you like to do. I sure hope you are both being much more tolerable toward little GK. I love all three of you and I hope you will be great friends forever. Where did you get that hammer you were using to open that package?! It looks just like the one my Mom uses to take nails out of the pallets she cuts up to burn in our woodstove. I thought maybe you might have borrowed hers, but she still has hers in our garage. Hope the weather is improving up there at the farm. Stay warm and keep having fun. Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXOXO
