The other day, we took a drive to Connecticut with Martha and Uncle Carlos. It was a very lovely day and the winter landscape looked beautiful. Suddenly, something caught my attention and I told Carlos to stop the car. Sharkey and I are always so curious to investigate new things and the display we found in the countryside was quite amazing. It reminded us of Stonehenge, but I doubt that these formations were built thousands of years ago, or that more than thirty million hours of labor was required for their construction, as was the case for Stonehenge!
By the way, Sharkey and I found out that these sculptures were created by Sesame Street performer, Martin Robinson, who has been on staff at The Jim Henson Company since 1980. We have enjoyed watching him in roles such as Mr. Snuffleupagus, Telly Monster, Slimey, and Buster the Horse. Pretty cool!
1 Whoa, Uncle Carlos! Stop the car - we want to see what those rock formations are all about. It looks like a mini Stonehenge.
2 You know what I think? I think that this stone tower looks like all of those cairns that people build on the beaches up in Maine.
3 You're right, Franny. Maybe Uncle Carlos took a wrong turn while we were napping. Instead of driving in Connecticut, maybe we drove all the way to Mount Desert Island! Woops!!!
4 What's that, Uncle Carlos? The GPS says that this IS Connecticut? Good thing because Martha wouldn't be happy if you made a wrong turn.

Good Morning F & S
You two are both very brave climbing around on those rocks. I must say very strange rock formations.
Well I enjoyed a nice long weekend with mom, it was nice having her home the extra day. Not that she spent much time with me yesterday she was cleaning out the garage. I'll tell ya this woman has been on a role, every closet, drawer, cabinet and now the garage has been cleaned out and organized. It must be something in the champagne she drinks on New Year's because this strange ritual goes on every January. She said she feels better now that everything is finished. I hope this means more time for ZOE.
So.....tell me about the new pup? It's a hairball I see but I'm happy it's not another cat. Did you both sit the little guy down and give him a who's in charge of the household briefing? You need to set him straight now before he starts getting any crazy ideas that just because he is a male he rules the roost.
So does this new furball have a name?

Hello Ladies,
A mini Stonehenge, not!!! You girls know your history though. It is neat hearing the history of the mini Stonehenge however. From Mr. Snuffie himself. How did you ever come to find it? I bet it wasn't on Carlos's GPS. Tasha and I napped and played alot over the weekend as Mom and Dad worked on putting slides from 50 years ago they said, onto discs. They are still working on it but Dad is also getting ready for ice fishing over the next two weekends. I am glad I do not go---cold, brrrrrr! We are supposed to get a few flurries today. Maybe I will get one of those nice warm fires. I hear homemade chicken and noodles are in the works for dinner. Always a treat! Oh, I hear you have a new little brother. What is his name and have you told him yet that you both are in charge and he is welcome along for playtime? Send photos soon of the three of you together. Have a great day.
Love & licks,
Basil

Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Well the weekend is over and it’s back to normal around here. Even though my daddy is retired, weekends still are long and full of different things. For one thing it means pizza. I love that stuff but only get the parts which are good for me. Come to think of it, all of it is good for me; right? Just returned from my morning walk. It was nice but my tongue was hanging out a little. It’s a whole lot warmer now; in the low 40’s. Not warm for some of you but warm by my standards. Give me those good ole 20’s and 30’s any day. You two looked really good standing on those rocks. I love to climb rocks and look over the area from the high places. Mommy was surprised that I walked to the very edge of the Grand Canyon and looked into the canyon below. Daddy stayed back a little and kept a tight hold on my leash. I guess he didn’t want me to fall.
Catch you later, Kirby.

mommie delia says, as an artist she really appreciates these stone sculptures...she said, it's amazing how many she ran across traveling the states...she built one in the woods where she use to ride her horse, then could'nt find it when looking for Morels.
So Francesca and Sharkey how do you ask Carlos for something...Whoof or Bark? hey build a "PUPHENGE" in Martha's woods, that would be cool! I think I'll have mommie delia build a "Cathenge" and see if the chippies climb it...

Hi Girl Friends, Oh, I love your photos today of the Stonehenge type of rock formations! Whenever I see something unusual like that, I usually bark to let my Mom know it is there and to be careful when aproaching it. I guess you girls don't do that, because you look like you were having more fun just checking it out! Love, Dudley Do Right XOXOXO
