Alexis's new bathtub

Posted by Francesca

On Thanksgiving, we did so much walking around in New York City that my little paws were kind of sore.  Martha thought it would be a good idea to give them a soothing bath in Alexis's new bathtub.  When I heard 'bath,' I kind of panicked, however, Martha was true to her word and it was just a footbath, which really helped.  Plus, I really liked the new tub.

Oh boy! Another bath. However, it really isn't so bad becaue this tub is so deep and roomy.

I heard that it is a Terrazzo tub.

This feels SO good on my poor aching paws.

Whats that? Time to come out already? Too bad, I was really starting to enjoy this.

Martha? Can we Frenchies get a bathtub like this one? This is so much more fun then cramming into the sink at home.

It's time to dry my paws off - this towel is so soft. Do you see that the floor matches the tub? That is so neat.

  • Oh boy Franny, I'm sure Alexis wasn't too happy about a dog taking a dip in her new tub. So where was Sharkey? No tub time for her?

I just hate getting a bath, doesn't matter how fancy the tub I want no parts of it. In fact I'm due for a grooming I hope mom forgets :)

  • Hello Ladies,
Looks like your adventures on Thanksgiving were great fun. Aunt Alexis is relly special to let you bathe in her new tub. My paws get really cold sometimes and I just drive Mom and Dad nuts as I keep licking them to get warm, so they put me in a shallow tub of warm water and that gets them warm really quick. Did Sharkey get to wash her paws after you Franny? Or is that tomorrows adventure? Happy Tuesday.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • A foot bath in a big tub like that? Franny, that's a tub made for (drum roll, please) our internationally-acclaimed dog paddle! If you had one like it at Martha's farm, you could get your daily exercise and soak your feet simultaneously! What a deal! Bye.

  • ahhhh she-she-froo-froo fancy tub paw soaking! where does it end? Francesca you must admit that's gracious of Alexis to let you soak in her new tub...and where was Sharkey all this time, no soaking for her?
Loooove the photos of you Franny in the tub...tooo cute!

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Bathtub or no, anything that is connected with a bath isn’t a good thing. Some dogs really like the water, but I’m not one of those. My feet don’t get sore when I walk. I guess it’s because that my legs are longer and I don’t have to take as many steps as you do. When I walk with my mommy and daddy, mommy takes about six steps to daddy’s four. She gets tired long before daddy does. As for me, as long as it’s cool, I can put them both to shame. I guess it’s all those resting naps I take.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Franniebrindle, I sure hope bigsisterAlexis didn't mind you breaking in her new bathtub! It WAS brand-spanking new, you know, and terrazzo, at that! On the other hand/paw, I wouldn't want you to have little aching tootsietoes! I'm sure that the hard concrete surfaces can wreak a little havoc on you girls' precious paws! I guess if bigsisterAlexis was okay with it, then I am too.

Niteynite, little ones. (Day has already died in the west.)

    =^..^=

  • Hey Franny,
I'm jealous as heck about that beautiful tub, but truth be told, I don't think I'd like any tub, if it involved me getting shampooed. Why don't you take a look at my blog and see some pictures of my recent bath. Just scroll down a bit and you'll see me with a big bubble of shampoo on my head!
Check out: http://www.boccibeefs.blogspot.com. I've already been published in Dog Fancy! ( see 2nd post from top).
By the way, I'm a big fan of your Mom, Martha, and would love to have us link blogs-your blog site is already on my blog!
Right now, the "look" of my blog is under construction-my parental unit is a writing instructor at an art and design college, and one of her students is going to spruce things up a bit...as soon as classes are over.
Thanks, and my best to Sharkey!

  • Hi Girl Friends, You sure had a great Thanksgiving Day, didn't you?! I love these photos of Franny in Alexis's new bathtub. What a great place to soak and relieve your aching little paws. Did Sharkey get to do it, too?! Can't wait to see what you girls will be doing before and during the Christmas holidays. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxo
