The sport of donkey chasing

Posted by Sharkey

Regular readers of our blog know how much Francesca and I love to chase animals.  Yesterday, we were out and about and I realized that we hadn't seen the donkeys for a while.  We located the paddock that they were in and I proceeded to have one yelping good time.  As usual, Francesca stayed on the sidelines.  Donkey chasing just isn't her sport.

They're right here in this paddock but - ahhh! This feels good on my back.

  • Go Sharkey go! I would love to chase the mini donkeys but it would have been years ago when I was as young as you gals are now. I only dream of chasing donkeys these days.

Happy Woof Wednesday to you all,

    Mrs. Bosley Chow Chow

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
When you want to go chasing, why don’t you let me know in advance? That way, I could join right in. I love a good chase every once in a while. It gets boring just chasing squirrels around here. I keep watching next door, but still no donkey. (Kirby is referring to one of his first postings about the next door neighbor: daddy.) I did get to chase a rabbit the other evening. Now that was fun because he didn’t run in a straight line, like the squirrels, and didn’t climb up in a tree and laugh at me.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi sweetie, you look so cute running and having a great time!
    muaaaaa

  • Hello Ladies,
It looks like it was a very warm and fun Fall day to play with the donkeys. You are smart Sharkey to stay a little distance so as not to get hurt. Safety is the number one rule. But what the heck, we forget it sometimes and go for the gusto. Franny plays it safe though. You are the daring one as usual. I noticed it got a bit warm and you had to shed the jacket. Glad it was fun. You probably had a great nap after that exercise!!!
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Murphy would probably just bark at the donkeys. He has zero social skills. Zip.

  • what fun to see Rufus, Clive and Billie again!
Oh Sharkey and Francesca, you two pups looked like you had a grand time chasing those Equine...but what if they had turned around and chased you? or worse kicked you! it can happen...did they hee-haw when they where running? great exercise today, eh?

  • This blog is just too darn cute! Frenchies certainly are cute, coming from the proud mother of an English Bulldog!

  • Hi Sweeties,
I love the "run, donkeys, run"! Sharkey, you are such a tease but at least you got Clive, Rufus and Billy to do some exercise. Maybe they were eating grass but it looked like they were standing around doing nothing. Way to go! You know how Martha doesn't like 'lazy'. Catch you later.

  • Sharkey honey you're such a little terror to the donkeys :smile. I bet they secretly love the chasing game with you. Isn't it wonderful that MommyMartha has provided all of you with such a grand, spacious farm to roam and play on. Be sure to give her extra kisses everyday.

  • Hi everybody: Chasing donkeys sounds like fun as long as you stay far enough away so they don't kick you. That would surely hurt really bad. My mom and dad would not let me chase them. It would be fun to just run and run and run after them. Do they chase you too??? Poor Francesca just has to stay on the sidelines.

It's very rainy today - no sun bath for me.

I think it's time for a snack and a long winter's nap. Take care. See ya later. Love, Gracyn.

  • Tsk tsk tsk! I posted yesterday about Mr. Squirrel being a furry little ball of badness, but Sharkeybarkey, I have to say that that would go for you, too! You have the poor donkeys ALL riled up! Little Franniebrindle is a bit more refined than you! I've got to give you this, though - you jump in with all fours and seize the moment, don't you?!

Like mommieMartha, like daughterdoggieSharkey - carpe diem!...this mindset, I am certain, is what mommieMartha lives by!

    =^..^=

  • Hi Girl Friends, You two are so lucky to have so many different animals on your farm to play with. I would just love to be around all of those animals and I think I would certainly get along very well with all of them because I am a very nice little guy who loves everyone. I don't think I would kill any opossums or skunks, but it would be fun to chase them, as well as the squirrels. Thanks for sharing your latest fun episode. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxo
