Thanksgiving with Martha, Kevin, and Alexis in NYC

Posted by Francesca

We Frenchies hope you all had a very pleasant Thanksgiving.  Martha decided not to cook dinner at home this year.  Instead, we went to New York City where we met up with Kevin and Alexis.  We spent the whole day walking and sightseeing and visited many friends.  It was fun and quite an adventure.

We rather like the building's entrance and high walls.

There are really long stone benches which are so much fun to run on. Good thing no one was around wanting to sit on them.

  • Good Morning F & S
Looks like you had a fun day in NYC on Thanksgiving. I watched the Macy's parade with mom I couldn't wait to see Santa. I've been working on my list now for days.

I had a busy weekend, had to help mom decorate the house for Christmas. It looks so nice and I promised mom I wouldn't chew the lights on the bottom of the tree. For some reason, I don't know why, I just love to chew the wires. (thank God I don't get shocked) Every year by Christmas the bottom half of our trees are dark - thanks to me :) We put up the artificial tree in the kitchen and we have to go pick out the live tree. I go with mom and dad it's so much fun. Then we bring it home and the other 3 dogs all go crazy sniffing the tree. Last year T-Bone, my brother, lifted his leg and helped water the tree. Mom freaked out and took the tree out back and squirted down the entire tree. I don't know why she got upset he was only trying to help.

Well I have to go wake up dad he needs to get a blood test this morning. Ouch!!!

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I really did have a good Thanksgiving with my two very best friends; mama and daddy. The weekend was really nice with the weather cool and sunny. I went for walks, but not as good as your walking in NYC. Haven’t been there although my daddy has been there lots of times. Maybe some day I’ll make it there and visit you two. Now it’s back to the everyday grind; napping and chasing squirrels. Almost caught one the other day. He was slow and I could feel the hairs from his tail on my nose. Then came the fence; he went up it and I went into it. Ouch!
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hi everyone: I hope your Thanksgiving dinner was as good as mine. I know that your mom cooks the best stuff and so does mine.

I had me a mini-meal of baked ham, sweet potato casserole and the ever present at holidays green bean casserole and some other things. We ate and ate till we almost popped. Well, my parents ate a bunch but I didn't. They said it was not good for me to eat too much. I had a great time and so did they.

It's almost time for mom to talk with Santa Paws about my Christmas presents. I can hardly wait. We watched movies during mom's time off and I saw Santa Buddies. That was a really cool movie. Wonder if it's really that way! Hmmmmmmm.....

Everyone, have a great day. See ya later. Love, Gracyn.

  • Good Morning Ladies,
Your new coats on Thanksgiving look mighty fine. Mama Martha always keeps you stylin'.Did you see the parade in person? We watched it on t.v. until the football came on. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving here. We have been getting Christmas up since. Mom puts up three trees. I, myself like the silvery one with snowmen all over it. Hope you are all getting in the holiday spirit. Martha's forest looked really cool on her show Friday. Mom and I love watching it this time of year. I snuggle with her and she always gets motivated to do "stuff."
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • HOT-looking coats, girls! Wish I could have joined you for your jaunt around New York. Have you ever ice-skated at Rockefeller Center? Hmmm, maybe there aren't ice skates small enough for Frenchie feet...sorry. I'll bet you've snowboarded at Martha's Farm, though. Glad you had a great Thanksgiving! Bye!

  • Hello Friends,

Wow, you both looked so beautiful. The streets of New York seemed very quiet. I guess everyone was to busy eating turkey to roam the streets!

I had a great Thanksgiving. I ate tons of turkey! This year I discovered the joy of pumpkin pie and whipped cream. I ate until I burst. I can hardly wait for the Christmas prime rib!

I bet Martha has your schedules packed with activities and tasks before the Christmas holiday. I can't wait for you both to share your adventures.

    XO,
    Fisher Jimmy

P.S. Tell Martha my Mom agrees with her about Sarah Palin, too!

  • Hi Girl Friends, Sure looks like you girls, Martha, Alexis and Kevin had a nice time on Thanksgiving Day. I would have enjoyed going for a nice long walk, but unfortunately it rained all day here and it wasn't fun to go outside. We did have fun watching the Macy's Parade and the Philadelphia Dog Show. Thankfully, it didn't rain the next day and we went for a 2 hour walk. Take care. Love Dudley Do Right xoxo
