Helping out

Posted by Sharkey

Shaun and Wilmer are really working hard in the gardens, getting them ready for winter. Francesca and I were out chasing squirrels the other day and decided to take a break from that and help out with some of the chores. You know we're such good workers and our help is always appreciated.

I'll have a better grip if I wear these rubberized garden gloves.

Look how much I raked up. Shaun - would you mind bringing the wheelbarrow?

Don't you just love helping out in the yard - I LOVE it!!

I usually get in trouble for digging where I shouldn't or just getting in the way but I love to help mom. Yesterday dad was out there all day and we supervised the landscapers doing the fall cleanup. After they left dad and I did a few things they missed. It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

We have rain here in South Jersey today so I'll just relax in doors, I'm not fond of the rain.

I was reading in Martha's blog that she just planted lots of bulbs. You know what that means lots of squirrels to chase they love to dig up the bulbs at our house. The two of you will be on overtime chasing those buggers - 5000 bulbs!! Holy cow!!

  • what good helpers! taking our tenacious weeds and using rubberized gloves, WOW you are staring to sound like mommie Martha...Francesca and Sharkey you two pups are to be proud of!
my daddie Al wore out two rakes raking every day for a month, soooo many trees in a small yard area, but it's good excercise and keeps him fit. Being a cat I love jumping into the gathered leaves chasing the chipmunks trying to retrieve the acrons.
Mommie delia and daddie Al are off to Veterans functions...daddie looks so handsome in his uniform, with his Bronze Star,Purple Heart and Medals.
THANK YOU Veterans for your service...God Bless You all.

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Well it looks as if it’s going to be one of those gloomy days again. It rained all day yesterday and hasn’t stopped this morning. I sure do miss my walks. I know daddy misses them too. Riding in that wheelbarrow looks like it is fun. I’ll bet that you didn’t get dumped like my daddy would have done to me. He likes to mess with me. But real deep down, I enjoy it. Breakfast time!!! Another of my favorites. Then I guess it’s nap time.
    Catch you later, Kirby

  • You guys don't know us...but our Daddy tells us that he is working at your farm and that he met you guys! He told me that you even helped him run his machine!!!! How lucky are you! I wish he would take us to work with him but we would run around and chase too many squirrels...and he would never ever be able to work....he would be chasing us too much.
Have a great day and say hi to my Daddy!

  • Sharkey, you are such a rake! The rubberized garden gloves look HOT on you. You're certainly not a 3rd wheel! Bye!

  • Hi Sweeties,
Sharkey, you look so happy in your rubberized gloves. Not, but you put a smile on my face! (Franny, don't tell Sharkey but I really laughed out loud when I saw those gloves! hehe) You both look so cute in that wheelbarrow too. Catch 'ya later gals.

  • Hello Ladies,
You certainly are the helpers today. Your gloves are great, but have Mama Martha make you each a customized pair for all four feet. You both looked soooo cool in the wheelbarrow, kind of like that movie Titanic when he said, "I'm King of the World." You two looked like you were Queens of the World.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Hi Girl Friends, Sure wish I could have helped you two and Shaun and Wilmer work in your yard today. It looks much drier and not so mucky and muddy as ours does. It has rained so much here that I am getting very tired of it. We don't take our long walks except when the sun comes out and it hasn't very much lately. Hope you continue to have fun helping the guys. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxo
