Good Day

I am wondering if you will ever get to met "Lassie"
or have them on the show with your owner Ms. Martha?

I loved all the Lassie movies and the stars, including all the books.

Did you know that in New Jersey the most famous dog writer was Albert Paulson Terhune? Each year the Collie Club of America holds a fun match and get together at the grounds of the famous Sunnybank Collies.

The CCofA saved the grounds and has a saved this historical site of the most famous dog writer. There are not New books with outstanding history of the historical place along with pictures of the animals and kennels, including pictures of the great writer.

We know that Eric Knight wrote Lassie Come Home. What a delight for me and others. The great Liz Taylor and Roddy (you guess it)famous child actor of his time. Played in Flicka too.

Peter Lawford played in Son of Lassie. Quess who else?

Then Shep, There are so many films of the wonderful breed the collie. By the way they come in many colors and two kind of coats, rough and smooth.

There is so much history of the collie that since I do not have any pets, I though it would be nice to have you bring some of the American idols of my time and before my time with you on the show.

I think your own is the most looked up woman of my time and I am grateful that I have the pleasure of seeing both of you with all of your friends growing up on television and not the internet, just like the stories I grew up with.

Thank you sweet canine's of purebred quality that brings joy to us by watching you two make history of your own by telling us here on your blog what is going on in your life at your point of view. Of course with help. Don't you just adore your humans.

Hi Girl Friends, This sure was a fun blog that you did today. I would love to have room on our property to have a stone and a wood yard like you have. I think it would be fun to build your own house, but I also think that you should let the kitties come and enjoy it, too. I could tell little Mandy was kind of upset by what you said and I sure would let her come to my house if I could build a special one. I loved the picture of Sharkey in the hallow tree. I thought she was wearing a cape and should have had 'Super Dog' printed on the front of her outfit! Franny, you looked great on the pile of slate shingles and should have had 'Super Dog' on the front of your outfit, too! Take care. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxo

Hey Frannie and Sharkey,
Long time, no WAG!!! Hope you both are well. Looks like your Mom really does collect EVERYTHING!!!! But rocks are way cool and I can understand that. Every time my Mom goes anywhere, especially when she hikes, she has to bring a little rock, pine cone, or feather from her trip.

She just got back from Acadia National Park with her friends, and said that she was not allowed to bring anything home. She did hike/climb the Precipice and said it was absolutely AMAZING!!! She rode her Trek bike around the 26 mile Acadia Park Loop road, watched the waves come in at Thunder Hole, saw the Bubbles on Jordan Pond, biked some of the carriage roads and also along the Sea Wall on Seal Island. She cannot wait to go back again, and maybe spend the week there. Mom said that the town of Bar Harbor was real great, and the shops were fabulous. There was one shop called Fiore Bar on Rodick Place that specializes in Oils and Vinegars. Tell Martha to be sure to check it out, she will love it. You can do tastings of the variety of selections of very unique infused olive oils and aged vinegars. She is a native of Florham Park, New Jersey as well.

If she brings me, we can all go for a hike together. She wants to hike up Cadillac Mountain, the Bubbles, and do the Beehive next.

Wags and licks to you both and to Martha,
Bunny

Hello Ladies,
It looks like you were out on a new adventure, and looking so stylish indeed. I think you do need your own little house--with a deck for sunning. I really like to do that myself. How did the dinner party go that you were helping set up the other day? Have a great Monday.
Love & licks,
Basil

Franny and Sharkey, you have many fun places to have a good time! Are you really going to build a house for yourselves on Martha's property? Wicked! I agree about your rule...no cats allowed. Who wants walking hairballs around? It's cool that Martha likes old stones...cobblestones are neat, and so are granite pillars. Does Martha have one or more of everything in the world? Cool. Bye!

Hello ladies, Kirby here.
This has been a wonderful weekend for me. Daddy came home from the hospital yesterday after having the his ileostomy reversed. He no longer has to wear that little bag on his stomach. He should recover rapidly and be able to play with me soon. Things are great for me now and things will be getting back to normal; whatever that is. Mommy and I did have some children come around for Halloween. They were given some candy just for saying the “magic words.” I’ll bet that if I could say those words I would be given some candy too; maybe not. Anyway, the love I get from my mommy and daddy is enough without the candy.
Catch you later, Kirby.

Sharkey - the hollow tree did look fun but it was a good thing there were no skunks down there or you would have been in big trouble - AGAIN. Remember what moma Martha said - stay away from the skunks!!!

We had a fun Halloween, lots of kids came to the door for candy and we barked all night. My throat was a little sore the next morning so I couldn't cheer too loud for the Eagles as they squashed the Giants. Speaking of stink our Phillies are doing just that. I couldn't stand to watch the last inning last night so I crawled down under the covers and it turns out I'm glad I missed it.

Well I'm off to eat my breakfast, this time change has my belly screwed up - I'm HUNGRY!!
