We LOVE glitter!

Posted by Sharkey

Francesca and I were looking through the November issue of Living the other day - you know, the one with the turkey on the cover - and got so excited to see my photo all done up with glitter. We LOVE glitter and this is a really great story. Basically, if you log on to marthastewart.com/glitter-painting , you can do all sorts of really great glitter craft projects. All you do is upload a favorite photo and it will print it out in a simplified version, which you then apply glue to and sprinkle with glitter. It's so easy and so much fun! And remember - you can find Martha's great glitter collections at Michael's and Walmart!

Franny, sit down and look at the November issue of Living with me. I think there's a picture of me in it.

  • Good Morning F & S
Well I watched Martha's show last night snuggled up with mom and I must say there were tears in my eyes, I was one sad Frenchie. I wanted to wear my costume and come to the show but NO - I never got an invite. Were any of the other Blogger Buddies invited???

Franny - wasn't that felt outfit hot? Plus it looked a little tight, I would have torn that thing right off. I must say you both looked cute.

Well today I'm getting my new Phillie's shirt I can't wait. Mom is a die hard fan, we watch the games together all the time. We can't wait to spank those Yankee's butts. Can I assume that you are both Yankee fans? Did Martha get you shirts to watch the game in?

Wednesday night mom and I will have our shirts on with rally towels in hand cheering on our Phillie's.

    GO PHILLIE'S!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes indeed that Glitter is a great project! a while back was excited when I saw the webpage at MS.com...went to Michaels and bought glitter to make ornaments and designs on cards...Love the "Sparkly Sharkey" so very cool!
Always something new and fun to do here...and you two sweet pups get to be in the projects first hand all the time...keep up the good work Francy Pants and Sparkly Sharkey!

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
When I first saw the title, “We Love Glitter,” I thought you were talking about some new dog food or something. After reading, I found that I was being silly; loving something does not mean it’s food. I am going to get my mom to try this out so that I can be glittered too. Mama loves to work with her hands. She is knitting things for Christmas presents now. Glittering looks neat to me even if I am a male. I guess my “feminine” side, what ever that is, is showing.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hello Ladies,
You two must be pretty tired from your trip into the city yesterday and all that celebrity stuff. I must say once again, that you both looked beauuuuuuutiful.
That glitter stuff looks really fun. Maybe Mom and I should do some Christmas ornaments of me and Tasha for all our friends??!!! Have a great day.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • This was my favorite piece in the November issue! I loved the goldfish painting. I've been on a glittering kick myself lately - so much fun!

  • Mom and I saw Martha on Jay Leno with your glitter picture, Sharkey! You are definitely a love magnet! Martha and Jay had fun spraying canned air on his show, too...have you tried it? It looked like great fun...we could spray glitter through the air *everywhere*! We could be glittery dogs! We could put glitter on Martha's cats, the canaries, the mules, the horses...even on Uncle Carlos! What do you think?

  • Hi Sweeties,
I'm getting anxious to try some glittering of my own. I uploaded my pictures and they are ready to go; I just need 4 more colors of glitter. I have 14 colors now but if I had gotten the 24 piece set, I wouldn't be short the four colors I need. Live and learn, huh! And yes, Sharkey, you do look beautiful all glittered up. I think Martha needs to do Franny now - what do you think?

  • Hello Friends,

Funny you should write about this. Mom and I became obsessed with the glitter project as soon as we read Martha's November issue. My baby brother and sister are excited too!

As soon as we are done, I'll send you two my picture. You will be surprised how handsome I am.

    XO,
    Fisher Jimmy

  • Hi Francesca and Sharkey: Hmmmmmmm. How coincidental or is it????? Momma went to Michael's last weekend and ought a big box of all the colors of glitter that Martha has. Wow. She will propably glitter a picture of me this weekend. I can hardly wait to see all the sparkly stuff. All the instructions are right on Martha's website. I'm soooo excited. Momma's also looking into getting me some Christmas toys and stuff, with the help of Santa Paws of course. It has been a very good year for our family.

Well, must go and have a nice snack. See ya later. Love Gracyn.

  • Franny
I want to send you a picture of me with my new Phillies shirt. Is there an email address where you can receive photo's. You have my email address.
    Thanks
    Zoe

  • Hello F&S

My name is Lilly and I am a floppy eared rabbit. I am new to this blogging thing but I just had to let you know that there is one sad Frenchi here in South Jersey. I am Zoe's cousin and she was very upset that she wasn't invited to your mom's Halloween show. She had here costume all ready and was just waiting for the invite. Maybe you could make it up to her and invite her to a play date. That's all she talks about it going on a play date with F & S.
    See what you can do.

  • I watched the Halloween dog costume show, and I
believe it was the best Martha Stewart show I had
seen. Whenever a dog barked, I always watched the
tv to see what was happening.

I really liked the dog costumes, it gave my Mom some
    ideas for my Halloween costume...

  • Hi Girl Friends, What a fun blog you did todsy! My Mom showed me the pictures from the November issue of MSL and I think they are all beautiful. I hope we can find pictures of both of you and your kittie friends. It would be fun to glitter all of them. My Mom has a beautiful picture of her wonderful little girl, Cricket. She was such a fantastic friend and I miss her as much as Mom does. She was black, reddish brown and silver. I think glitter would make her look pretty special. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxoxo

  • Glitter... well if you Frenchies were Shih Tzus you might like glitter less as it gets in your fur and doesn't all shake out for a week. But maybe that's because Mommy had a glitter accident at home and I was nearby when it happened. Bling bling bling!!!

  • you so need to come and visit me sometime. You guys njust think you are special. I have my own Blog also!!
