Repair dogs

Posted by Sharkey

Yesterday, we heard the security guard announce that the Caterpillar repairman had arrived to service some of the farm equipment.  As you know, Francesca and I love all things mechanical, so we trotted down to the equipment barn to see if we could be of assistance.  Our pal, Steve the CAT man, was busy at work and was very happy for our suggestions and helping paws.

So Steve, do you think the distributor needs to be replaced? This Hi-Lo has been running kind of ruff lately. Hey Franny? How's the tire pressure?

' Well Sharkey, where did you get such a vast knowledge of mechanics?'

Franny and I are like little sponges and we've learned a lot from being around Martha. We even perform regular maintenance on her Kawasaki.

Steve, do you need a socket or an open-end wrench?

Steve, looks like these lug nuts need a torque adjustment.

Lets check out the lift mechanism - raise 'er up, Steve!

I am so impressed with your mechanical talents. Your mom sure does have a lot of farm equipment, must cost a pretty penny to maintain that place.

We have a lawn mower, edger and a big leaf blower no big tractors at my house. I couldn't see the brand of that fork lift but my dad use to be the President of one of the largest companies that sold that equipment. Now he is retired and spends lot of time with me.

Well I have to go eat my breakfast early today, mom has meetings and needs to leave early.

    Have a good one :)

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Now just look at you two. First the Kawasaki and now the tractor. What talent you two have. I often watch my daddy when he is doing things on his truck but I get bored quickly and leave. I guess that I’m not mechanically inclined, or whatever. Now when it comes to the riding, I am all in favor of that. When you asked Steve about changing the distributor on that diesel engine, I guess you were just pulling his leg. You two like to kid around so much.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hello Ladies,
You never stop amazing me with all your talents. With a Mom like Martha, I would expect no less however. Under the hood even of the equipment giving advise...how fun. Did you two and Steve get to have a nice lunch break together? Keep warm. It is foggy this morning here today, but expected to warm up a bit.
    Love & licks,

  • Well I'm impressed with all that large equipment!...WhooHoo a CAT! hmmm love the name...how Blessed your mommie Martha is to have all that great machinery to work with, mommie delia only had a big John Deer when they had their Horse Ranch.
As a cat I would love roaming through, on and over all that good stuff, and maybe even play hide and seek with you two pups...have fun and be careful Francesca and Sharkey...lucky you!

  • Hello Friends,

There is no end to your talent girls. I am so proud of you both. You show the world that there is no limit to what canines can do!

I'm pretty handy myself. I would like to extend my handy paw to you girls anytime you need assistance.

    XO,
    Fisher Jimmy

  • Well ladies look at the two of you. So cute and adorable. I think you both need your own set of tool belts and tools. I bet Home Depot could outfit the two of properly now that you're one big happy family.

I think a full blown tour of MommyMartha's equipment barn is needed because she has some serious farm equipment in there. I also think Martha could use your guidance in helping get the construction finished on time down at her Starrett Lehigh offices.

  • Holy Cow....

Who knew the two of you were so well versed in mechanics.

Hey, I hear a rumbling sound when I fire up my 1958 Ford Edsel Ranger. What do you think it could be? :)

Love you both Fran and Sharkey!

You bring a smile to me every day.

  • That first picture of the pups on the CAT is adorable! I love the Frenchies : )

  • Hi sweeties,

  • Cute! What special helpers!

  • Hey Frenchies,

Kick The Cat & Walk The Dog! Glad you ladies can get along with such a Big Cat. You two are adorable mechanics with such sweet expressions. How fortunate you ladies are and so is your owner. Keep making a paw on posing!

  • So Sharkey what did your friend the CAT man, Steve, do? Did he give you a cap or coat for your help? You know to be a professional mechanic you have to get greasy.

  • Aroooo! You're both so brave. Please be careful. Where are your overalls and steel-toed boots ;)

  • Franny and Sharkey, you make me laugh.

  • Hi Girl Friends, How did you learn to be so good at helping repair not only the CAT but the Kawasaki, too! I am really impressed and just amazed at what you girls can accomplish! I did help my uncle the other day change the oil in Mom's truck and I help Mom make a fire in our woodstove so I can lay on a rug in front of it to get warm. I guess I'm kind of helpful, too, but not like you two!! Sure fun to read your blog and see your great photos. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxo

  • YOU TWO ARE A MESS! - you know that, don't you?!! [words written thru MUCH laughter!] You are just sooo helpful and well-rounded in everything - I am just in awe of you!

(...whoever wrote these captions - well, you couldn't've done any BETTER! [more giggling!]...)

Girls, Mandy wanted me to remind you that it was the 'Kasawaki', NOT the way you're pronouncing it! (Let's just go along with it, okay? - for little Mandy's sake!)

    BIGGG hugs, girls...kisses, too! Muaaah!

    =^..^=

  • I also have a beautiful Frenchie, (Joey). He received his championship honnors, but due to some allergies, his former owner decided not to bred him. Therefore, he became my sweet pet. He resembles your Sharkie, has a very sweet personality, but does not like other dogs coming into his domaine. Currently, Joey is recovering from a skin allergy condition. I really enjoyed viewing your website, it was my first time, but not my last. Thank you
