Showing Jessica the Bedford area - part one

Posted by Francesca

We recently met Jessica, Martha's new executive assistant.  Jessica will be spending most of the time at the office in New York City, but we felt it was important to introduce her to the Bedford area.  Uncle Carlos drove us into Katonah so that Jessica could learn all about where Martha shops and here's one little adventure.  Sharkey and I think that Jessica did very well.

I decided to sit up front with Jessica and fill her in on how things are done around Bedford.

Hey Frannie, look at this - $1 for the best chance to win a million. What do you say?

When we went to the Charles Department Store, Jessica was happy to see that the latest issues of Martha's magazines were front and center. Don't forget that Sharkey and I are featured in the Halloween issue.

  • Hi gals,

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I sure do hope Franny is feeling better today. Boy am I in trouble today. I was ready for my walk at 5 AM this morning but mommy and daddy wasn’t. They wait until all the children have gone to school, after 8:30, and the traffic has slowed down a little. We don’t have any sidewalks in our neighborhood so we have to walk on the side of the road. They drive crazy around here too. The county put a “road hump” in front of our house to slow down the cars to 20 miles per hour. That worked for a little while. It only took a week for people to find out that if they crossed it at 40 miles per hour they don’t have to slow down. Now cars are going past our house faster than they did before. I guess that’s progress for you.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • What a cute Jessica! she seems to be a welcome edition to your group...and looks like a fun time in Bedford/Katonah...Best Wishes Jessica with your new job!
of course you sweet pups look great(good to see Francesca)and of course Uncle Carlos.

have a great day everyone! it's raining cats and dogs here(funny saying, eh?)

  • Hello Ladies,
First, Franny I am glad you are up and about, and I hope doing well. I know how illness can be, with my compromised immune system it certainly is difficult. Mom is going in fact today to pick up medicine--a constant with old Basil here. Jessica, welcome to the group. It looks like the girls are showing you the sites. They are the best shoppers around, that is for sure. I better sign off and get watching at the window, as they are putting on a new roof today. Take care all.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • S & F,
It looks like you gave Jessica a proper tour of the area. BTW - you both look great in the Halloween issue with your costumes!

  • ...a warm welcome to Jessica, in joining the MSLO family and its extended family - those of us who are found here (and at mommieMartha's blog) each and every day. Girls, I'm awfully glad that you were able to show Jessica some of mommieMartha's favorite spots around Katonah and that you're helping her to get acclimated. Be good girls for her, to help her job to be easier, okay?

Franniehonnie, I'm glad you're feeling better, baby girl. I know it's a little corny, but I did pray for you - I'm a woman of faith - I can't help it - we just ask the Lord for help (alot!) when we need it and ask Him to watch over others that need His help too! I whispered to my little Mandy this morning that you weren't feeling good, and she just listened as I spoke softly to her. MommieMartha's update from last evening made me relax a little when reading it this morning.

Well, maybe we'll be seeing more of Miss Jessica and you two together in the future. She reminded me a little of Liesl...how 'bout you?!...

    =^..^=

  • Hi Girl Friends, Thank you for introducing us to beautiful Jessica. She sure looks like she loves you two. How nice you were able to take her on a field trip to Katonah with uncle Carlos. Sure looks like you guys had a great time. Well Sharkey, is Franny doing better yet?! I sure hope so. Please let us know when she is back to her usual self. Thanks. I absolutely love you both. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxo
