Are these tools or cookies?

Posted by Francesca

Ever since Martha signed that deal with The Home Depot, all she's been talking about is tools and more tools.  Just the other day, she came home with a brand new set of really shiny tools and we Frenchies wanted to use them very badly.

Hey Franny, maybe Martha put those fancy tools in the equipment barn. Let's go find them and build something.

Ah-ha!!! Jackpot!

Wow - these are really fancy tools.

What do you suppose we should build? A dog house?

Before we get started, let's make sure our safety glasses are nearby.

You know, let's take another look at these fancy tools. How do they match up with everyday ones?

Hmm - this wrench is cold and really hard.

But this fancy wrench smells kind of sweet.

I see what you mean. The Martha pencil also smell sweet.

We know exactly what's going on now - these are not fancy tools - they're fancy cookies!

Now we remember - these are the cookie tools from Martha's Home Depot show, made by Dani Fiori - set decorator. This set was given to Frank Blake - the CEO of The Home Depot. We're so silly sometimes.

You two are silly, even I knew they were cookies - I watched the show!! I would have had my teeth into those cute cookies in no time.

I got in trouble again yesterday, well I thought it was fun mom calls it trouble. When mom came home from work I had all the toilet paper off the rolls from all 3 bathrooms. I tried to blame it on one of the other dogs but I had a piece stuck in my mouth. I like to grab the end and run thru the house then I chew it up, very fun. I did it on Saturday also and mom blamed dad because he left the bathroom doors open but yesterday was her fault. I sat by her side as she picked it all up, she was calling me lots of names and none were Zoe.

Well I'm so glad it's Friday and we're suppose to have nice weather this weekend in South Jersey. I'm hoping to spend lots of time outdoors with mom.

    Have a nice weekend everyone.

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I saw on Martha’s show that Home Depot gave her a big tool box. That was really neat. My daddy worked on airplanes before he retired. He has a tool box just about that big and is full of tools. He says, “A place for everything and everything in it’s place.” He even has me doing that too; I take my bone to my towel every morning to eat it. He doesn’t have any fancy tools like Martha gave to the CEO of Home Depot. I’ll have to see if mommy can make him, and me, some. I’ll bet she can if she tried. Have a great weekend.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Cool looking cookies! So, eat them already! You two are silly! If Martha asks what became of them, well...omigod, tell her you didn't know they weren't put there as a snack for your convenience! (Wink, Wink) Yes, I'm bad, I'm bad! See you at the frosting factory! Bye!

  • Francesca & Sharkey...yoouuu lucky dogs you! what a splendid idea, cookie tools! yes I could see how you could be fooled, not only do they look real, they look like they would taste good...hope you two pups got to sample some. Kudos to Dani Fiori for the creations.
May you pups, Martha and my friends here have a great weekend...mommie delia will be off on a trip for a week, so I won't be using her computer...till then, puuurrr "Kitty"

  • Hey! F&S!

Sorry I haven't been around. Down here in the rural south we got a little thing called VBS (Vacation Bible School) and we all have to go...or else we'll go to a place that even Home Depot AND Martha couldn't fix! Ha! Yeah, but I bet they'd hammer a good dent in it though! Especially if you two were helping!

I just can't help myself after reading the blog today. I keep seeing visions of Franny, my true love, in a butt-tight tool belt. Owww!!! And Sharkey, you look a little like Sarah Palin in those safety goggles! Both of you are cuties to beat the booties!

But if Martha catches you eating those cookies you'll have to go sit on the tool bench and have a time out!

I had to do time out in VBS because I argued that when Jesus (whose name is "sausage" pronounced backwards!) fed the multitudes he also fed the multitudes of homeless pets, too! Jesus also had a little dog named "Biscuit" and that's what he fed all the stray animals in the olden days, biscuits...sausage and biscuits. Nobody at VBS believed one word of it and they said I broke a commandment cause I told a lie.

    I'm always getting into trouble, aren't I, F&S?

Hey! I gotta great idea! You two can ask your mom if you can borrow a couple of tools to fix that commandment I broke! Maybe then I will get my VBS certificate. (They are holding it aside until I have learned my lesson.) If you ask me, well, I'd better not say...doG forbid I break any more commandments! :)

PS. It's all so confusing cause they command you to SIT! STAY! and "LIE" DOWN! What did I do wrong? I just think that love is the most important thing of all and I sure love you, F&S! And all of the great critters at The Daily Wag! (I am a good dog...I am. :\) And doG Bless Home Depot, too! :) Love the orange...

  • Hi Francesca and Sharkey: WOW! Look at all those delicious and tasty cookies. I sure could eat a few of those right now and maybe some for later on. Yummy! Did you get to take any home with you? Sure hope so. The two of you work soooooo very hard at making sure things are done right and you help your mom take care of business. Therefore, you should ask for more treats---and get them too.

Have a great weekend everybody. Time for a snack. See ya later. Love, Gracyn.

  • Hi silly girls,
Dani Fiori did a great job on those cookies, didn't she? She is so talented! Well, they look delicious but to tell you the truth, my mouth watered more when Martha was presented with her tool box. Wow! Mine is about half that size although I have a lot of tools. I really, really like to shop at Home Depot and I can't wait to see Martha's products when they hit the shelves and like you said, Sharkey, “Let’s get ready to rumble!” Have a nice weekend sweeties.

  • Hello Ladies,
What could be more fun than tools you can eat? Well, maybe a bed!!! You two need some cute little pink, tool time aprons for all the real tools, now that Mama Martha has the in with Home Depot. The goggles are a must--they just complete your ensembles. Hope you have some exciting adventures over the weekend.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Hello Friends,

Those "tools" look really yummy. Did Martha let you eat one. I personally wanted the hammer as my desert!

You two look so fabulous in these photos. You both get more beautiful by the day! I have the same problem myself.

Congratulations to Martha on the deal with The Home Depot. Mom can't wait to go there and buy some of Martha's products!

    XO,
    Fisher Jimmy

  • Hi Girl Friends, Did you build anything with those great tools you found, over the weekend?! Building a dog house would probably be a fun project. My Mom and I sure love the idea that Martha will have her products at Home Depot in 2010. When we go shopping for her great items, we won't have to go too far because Home Depot is very close to Costco in the area where we shop and Walmart is about a block away. Then if we want to go to Macy's, it's just a few miles away. I love to go shopping to those places because I get to go on a nice long walk after they go shopping. Have a great week. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxo
