A trip to the Grand Prix!

Posted by Francesca

You know how much we Frenchies love to drive and Uncle Carlos took us to a really fun place the other day.  It's called Grand Prix New York, located in nearby Mount Kisco.  This is an amazing place where you can go and drive little racecars around two beautiful indoor tracks.  They told us that it’s a great space for parties and corporate events.  Maybe Martha should use Grand Prix New York for her next company meeting.

Sharkey, I can't figure out how to start the engine.

Franny, do you think I should hot-wire it?

Maybe this car will get me to Monte Carlo. I'll look to my right.

This car drives so easily that maybe I can just sit back and close my eyes.

On second thought, I better keep them open while driving a high-performance race car!!

Wouldn't this car be useful for a good old squirrel chase?

Do you think we'd make nice hood ornaments?

Hey Franny - do you want to play some arcade games? Go get some tokens.

After having so much fun, we stopped on our way out to say hello to Morgan - event coordinator and Debbie - front desk. They were very nice.

  • Hey gals,

Yooooo Sharkey! You look scared as heck in a couple of these pix like you want to make a speedy getaway get it speedy?

My Mama wanted to be a professional race car formula 1 driver when she was in college but she never did go for it, I think she was chicken!

Happy weekend to you Franny & Sharkey. Happy weekend to all The Daily Wag companions - Basil, Shoeboy, Zoe, Kirby Bear, Fisher Jimmy and all companions who stop by to leave a comment here.

    Until next time,

    Mrs. Bosley Chow Chow

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
They won’t let me drive a race car; they don’t have a helmet that will fit me and my feet don’t reach the pedals. If they did let me drive, I would challenge you two to a race around the track. Mama says that I’m the fastest Chow she has ever seen and I’ll bet that I am fast in a racecar too. When I run down the stairs, I can cover the nine steps by only touching three of them. Going up I only use every other one of them. I get plenty of practice keeping the squirrels off of the back porch which has 15 steps leading to the ground.
Have a good weekend and don’t drive too fast.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

I'll tell ya - you guys have the life. You do the most exciting things - your Uncle Carlos is terrific.

I'm sitting under mom's feet as she types this, it's thundering and raining really hard, I'm scared. I wouldn't go out in the storm this morning so I left her a little present by the back door. (it was just a little turd) I ate my breakfast and I just couldn't hold it in any longer. After she found my surprise she carried me out in the rain with an umbrella, she is a good mom.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend.

    Zoe

  • Hello Ladies,
You two are certainly amazing!!! What will it be next, a trip to the moon? I knew you were just posing though, you couldn't fool me. Uncle Carlos would never send you out without your helmets. I hope after the race cars that you all got to go to lunch together. Now that's my kind of fun--eating. Take care all and have a great weekend to everyone.
    Love & licks,
    Basil

  • Hey Frenchie Pups, now your talking! you two and Uncle Carlos get to do such fun things...mommie delia wished she could have been there, her dad's best friend was the legendary German race car driver Hans Stuck, and his son Hans Stuck Jr. is also a famous race car driver for BMW.
sure looks like you had a barkin good time...what a great place to visit...thanks for sharing...have a great weekend everyone!

  • Hello Friends,

You two are racers! How exciting. Just another accomplishment to add to the resume.

I'm a big racing fan myself. In fact, I'm in the Nascar chase myself right now. I'm continually racing around the backyard trying to bring the cup home to Mom!

    Have a great weekend!

    XO,
    Fisher Jimmy

  • Hi Sweeties,
It looks like you had some real fun there at the Grand Prix and you seem to make new friends wherever you go. If you happen to get down to south Florida any time soon and you want to try some miniature golf, we have a place called Boomers. They also have an arcade and it's close to our small Boca airport. It would be so neat to play a few holes with you and maybe do some skeet shooting! Bring Martha and Carlos too - oh yeah, Martha has the plane. Enjoy your weekend!

  • I'm pressed for time to review and comment on today's Grand Prix blog, but I've got to just say, the photos were absolutely adorable today. I clicked quickly thru the photos (which was practically a slideshow!), then caught some of the captions as the afterthought...as Sharkey mentions looking to the right, then the left, then her eyes were closed - that made me grin from ear to ear...I laughed right out loud - here, by myself! Readers, go back and flip thru the photos quickly - it's marvelous!

Girls, if I could (and if mommieMartha would allow), I'd scoop up the two of you and kiss your little sloppyslobbery muzzles and squeeze you tight - you are sooo dear! Yeah, you'd prob'ly wiggle... You're both a mess! - a wonderful mess!

Mandy's at home napping on this chilly (and muchly-needed) rainy day while I'm (literally) minding the store. We all prob'ly know that she'd want us to have a happy feline Friday!

    So be it...amen, and amen!

    =^..^=

  • You two ladies are SO funny.

  • Hi Girl Friends, First you two were driving the Kawasaki at the farm in Bedford and next at Skylands. How cool! Now Uncle Carlos took you to the Grand Prix and you got to drive the cool race cars! Wow, what do you get to do next?! I can hardly wait to find out. I just love all of the things that you do. Will you be on Martha's new shows soon?! I sure hope so. Have a great weekend everyone. Love, Dudley Do Right xoxo

  • Dear Sharkey & Franny,

Oh, you two kids are just way too cute!
Petey Bichon, and I, Misty Poodle, are getting upset at all the fun things you guys get to do. Well, if you are Martha's
kids, you get to do everything! We asked mom if we could drive her car and she asked if we were looking at Martha's website again! Can't get a thing past her! Take care and keep us posted...Doggie Kisses, Misty from St Louis
