Franny and I have a lot of space to run around on the farm. We have hay fields, horse and donkey paddocks, and beautiful woods. Our favorite place to run, however, is on freshly cut lawn. It's so fast and it smells really good.

I agree, there is nothing better that the smell and feel of freshly cut grass, it's the best.
I love to chase the Labs around the lawn, I'm so fast they can't catch me.
Franny, you are looking good. Are you still taking medication for the Lime Disease? In any event I'm glad you are feeling better.

Good Morning Ladies,
Fresh cut grass is the best. Fernando takes excellent care of things for the two of you. You certainly can tell that racing on the grass gives you both great exercise--look at those muscles. You are in great shape and seeming healthy again Franny!

Hello ladies, Kirby here.
Yesterday was the best day in almost a week for me. My daddy came home after his operation. I was really glad to see him; now things can get back to normal around here. I say normal for me but not normal for him; he has one of those funny looking bags attached to him. Makes funny sounds at times. His doctor thinks that all of the cancer has been removed. I don’t mind if daddy doesn’t feel like playing on the floor with me; just glad to have him back.

I can just hear you two 'woofing' as you run round and round..what a blast! what a pups life! after I have my morning kitty meal I run around the house and jump from the top of the stairs to the bottom and run back upstairs..then mommie delia says, ok that's enough! and outside I go.

Hello Friends,
I couldn't agree with you more. I love when the gardener comes and mows the lawn. I wait by the window until he's done mowing the lawn and then I beg my Mom to let me out to run. She usually does and it's one of the best days of my week.
I bet the Autumn leaves back East are fun too. Living in California, I don't see much of a Fall, but I pretend anyway. At least there is hay every Halloween for the Scarecrow to sit on.

See, I'm an indoor boy-n-all, 'n I DO NOT wike it outside! I feel awfulwy vulnerwable when mommie takes me out on the porch, pwus I usualwy figger I'm goin' to da doctor's or sumpm! Mrrrow, I DON'T WIKE IT! My wittle sisfur, Mandy? - she wikes it outside! - mommie even got her a wittle harness and weash, cuz she wikes to eat gwass-n-all. She gits pesky sometimes - she weedles 'er way out of dat wittle harness, 'n off she goes, den mommie wooks widicalus twyin' ta catch 'er-n-all...she finds it's best to wemain calm in dese sitchiations.
For cats' sake, if yer wittle backs git itchy-n-all, just have mommieMartha scwatch 'em fer ya', dan wolling awound in da gwass!

Glad your Daddy is back home with you again now you can rest and not worry that he was gone to the hospital,. Many well wishes sent his way from me and my Mama Pam.
Sharkey & Franny,you gals are so spunky and full of vinegar you do need to run and use up some of that excess energy. Nothing as good as feeling the grass beneath your paws am I right? The smells of the grass and to roll in it and be a pup again, you go girls!

Good afternoon Francesca and Sharkey: Oh what fun it is to run on a newly mowed lawn. We have someone come to mow our lawn every week and he mows my fenced-in back yard too. His name is Uncle George, and he is swell to me and my parents. The yard smells so good after mowing and it feels real good on my little paws. Still very hot and humid here today. Guess I won't be running around outside for a few more days. Momma said the weatherman said it will be in the 90's here every day. She said it is so humid it is like inhaling water. Hi Girl Friends, You two are sure lucky to have that much space to run around in and especially so much green grass to roll around on. Oh, how I wish I could do that, it looks like so much fun. Our grass is in what my Mom calls a dormant state and it won't get green again until the rain returns, which is probably in September. Right now it's in the 90's with 101 expected tommorrow.
