Francesca gives a garden tour

Posted by Francesca

Yesterday, I looked outside and saw a large group of people standing down at the stable. I told Sharkey that we should go and investigate, but wouldn't you know it - Sharkey spotted a squirrel and ran off chasing it. I didn't mind because I soon found out that it was a garden tour and who doesn't like a good old-fashioned garden tour? And besides, there were some real admirers of French Bulldogs in the group. I stayed with them for quite awhile.

Oh, it's nice and cool in the shade. I love when the sky is this blue.

  • Hi Francesca,

Do the folks on tour arrive by buses or by car pools or do you know LOL?
I am a curious dog I like to know the facts about things like this since I have so much time on my hands between naps. The flowers would be a "great" smell I could go for it.
Thanks for the tour wish I had been there in dog but the pix were nice.

    Good job Franny gal~

Why don't you ask Martha if you can invite all your blogger buddies for a dog tour of the gardens. I promise I'll behave. We could walk the gardens then have a picnic in the shade. I would invite just us regulars so we don't have too large a crowd.

I'll have mom pack us a nice lunch - what do ya think???

  • Hello ladies, Kirby here.
I just love a good flower garden. Mom’s garden isn’t as large as Martha’s, but it’s all hers. It takes so much time to keep a good garden in the south with all the bugs which just love to eat the plants. Then there are the squirrels, that love to dig in the soft soil to “plant” their goodies they have found. Too bad they can’t remember where they hid them and small trees sometimes begin to grow from the nuts they have hidden. I don’t hide anything outside because I’m afraid that something will steal it. I just hide them under one of the rugs in the house. For some reason, mom doesn’t like that.
    Catch you later, Kirby.

  • Hey Frannie and Sharkey,
I agree with Zoe. Tell your Mom to invite your regular blogger-pups and we could have a great time running with the Donkeys, saying "Hi" to Betsy, and sniffing all of Martha's gorgeous flowers. My Mom said that she will bring the treats.

You 2 are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to call home. Hey, maybe if all of us poochies gang up together, we could get all those darn squirrels off your property!
    Have a magnificent day,
    Bunny in N.J.

  • that first photo of you makes me laugh, you look so bored, walking away from the group...yea it can get old, always someone pawing over where is Sharkey in all this? guess doing squirrel patrol...I ran all the squirrels and chipmunks out of our yard, the neighbors are happy but mommie delia wasn't, she liked the critters even if they did dig up her plants.

  • Hello Franny,

I can smell the peonies from here! I'm licking the screen! I don't know how much more of this I can take!

That's it! I'm coming up there! Enough of this virtual verbiage! I'm getting in the GM and heading north!

To Franny's garden or BUST!!! :)

  • These photos are adorable, I wish I had a big garden so my pets could offer guided tours.
